Land acknowledgements for 大象传媒
The acknowledgement of traditional lands, for example at the start of meetings, classes and events, is an important way to pay respect to and honour the Indigenous peoples on whose lands 大象传媒 is situated.
For Indigenous peoples, an inherent connection to traditional lands defines who they are as peoples and is intrinsically linked to Indigenous cultures, knowledge systems and ways of knowing, seeing and doing. Recognizing Indigenous peoples and their traditional lands is an important step towards Reconciliation, and something we can all consciously, collectively and individually practice.
Land Acknowledgements by Campus Location
大象传媒 recommends using one of the following four phrases, depending on campus location.
The inclusion of the word 鈥渋ncluding鈥 in acknowledgements is important, as representatives from local Host Nations have expressed the wish that their Nations be acknowledged by individual names.
