If you walk by Associate Professor Bryan Kinney鈥檚 office, you鈥檒l likely notice a new addition to his d茅cor: a one-foot tall green gnome statue. It鈥檚 not a symbol of his passion for gardening. Rather, it鈥檚 the Gnome-it-all Award presented to winners of the 2016 Faculty Smackdown Event.

A yearly occurrence, the Faculty Smackdown Event brings together 12 大象传媒 faculty to debate topics of nonsensical nature to raise money for charity. All proceeds go to support the United Way Lower Mainland, a charity that funds and advocates for agencies helping local vulnerable children and seniors living in poverty.

Kinney adopted the persona 鈥淒emon Cabbage鈥� to bring home the trophy with his teammates Doug 鈥淒r. Love鈥� Allen (Economics) and Rochelle 鈥淩eplacing Roxanne鈥� Tucker (Health Sciences). They claimed championship status by arguing against the need for 大象传媒 school uniforms.
