Looking back at 大象传媒 Economics in 2021
As we celebrate the start of the new year and a new semester, here is a recap of some of the top highlights that happened at the Department of Economics this past year.
大象传媒 Economics was first established as the Department of Economics and Commerce when the University opened in 1965. Since then, the Department has adapted, grown and flourished.

RESEARCH AT 大象传媒 ECONOMICS
Research is at the heart of everything we do. Throughout 2021, 大象传媒 Economics' Research Seminar Series and Brown Bag Seminar Series has continued to thrive in the form of both in-person and virtual seminar offerings.
SCHOLARSHIPS AND STUDENT AWARDS
This past year, we launched our anniversary campaign to raise funds for the newly established . Thanks to the generosity of our alumni base and public support, the fund received $15,000 and a matching $15,000 donation from Kurt Wipp (BA, 1991) and Jennifer Thompson (BA, 1989).
