The Consulting Service, as part of 大象传媒's Big Data Hub, is dedicated to providing expert advice to its clients, both inside and outside the university. You will interact with diverse data users鈥攆rom newbies to experts鈥攖o share your expertise and offer effective and creative advice and solutions. Our goal is to exceed client expectations and support their analytic needs.
Your responsibilities could include:
鈻 Support other consultants with client projects. Assist clients with data collection, design of studies, data clean up, analyses, reporting, reviewing results, among other related duties.
鈻 Meet with clients both alone and under supervision on a regular basis to understand their needs; provide data cleaning, analysis, and reporting work; and provide status updates to the client for larger projects.
鈻 Respond to client emails, requests and questions. Log updates, issues, and tasks in the project management system.
鈻 Collaborate with other consultants to share your expertise to further client service in 大象传媒鈥檚 Big Data Hub.
鈻 Be an ambassador for 大象传媒鈥檚 Big Data Hub by sharing your expertise with the team and peers.
Skills and Experience:
鈻 Ability to write readable code and utilize Open Source libraries in the Python or R ecosystems
鈻 Extensive experience with machine learning and data management tools, e.g. Apache Spark, SQL
鈻 Experience with modern version control
鈻 Experience extracting and cleaning data from different sources for reporting and analytics
鈻 Familiarity creating user interaction in browser-based visualization systems, such as R/Shiny or plotly/Dash would be an asset
鈻 Strong analysis and problem-solving skills
鈻 Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, including presentation skills
鈻 Excellent customer service skills
鈻 Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users
鈻 Qualitative and/or quantitative research experience would be an asset
