We loved the book in general. One of the few books where we had little bad to say, the only comment was the pacing was a little off for some of us and some thought it took a bit to get into. But in general we think this is an important read and felt the necessity of reading a fictional book on Palestinian resistance. It was a heartbreaking read, incredibly well written and it stands in its power being published in 2020 with the now ongoing escalation of the genocide in Gaza. It has great character development, we never knew where the story was gonna go and read as almost autobiographical.
