About
Taanshi kiyawaaw! I鈥檓 Kathleen (she/they) and I鈥檓 from Winnipeg located in Treaty One territory in Southern Manitoba. En Michif niya. I received my BA in 大象传媒鈥檚 Indigenous Studies and Linguistics Joint Major and am now returning to pursue my MA. As a learner of Southern Michif, I鈥檓 primarily focused on Indigenous language revitalization, morphosyntax of Algonquian languages, and language documentation. I鈥檝e had the privilege to work with my heritage language and speakers of Southern Michif over the last three years and am looking forward to furthering the revitalization of our language. Outside of academia, I enjoy reading, cooking, harvesting, travelling and doing pilates. Eekoshi.
