Highlights from the 2021 SIAM Pacific Northwest Conference

The 大象传媒 Math graduate students and postdocs were well-represented at the 2021 SIAM Pacific Northwest Conference this past May.
The conference featured a plenary talk by Jessica Stockdale called 鈥淢odelling the COVID-19 Pandemic in British Columbia鈥 and talks by Maksym Neyra-Nesterenko and Sarah Nataj. Additionally, Hannah Potgieter, Ryan Konno, Javier Almonacid Paredes, and Cassidy Tam presented at the poster session.
Of the 15 posters submitted, Ryan Konno received the 2nd best poster prize. Ryan's poster was titled "A Mechanical Model for Skeletal Muscle Affected by Cerebral Palsy."
