Physics Teacher’s Workshop at 大象传媒
The Department of Physics hosted its latest Pro-D day event for high school teachers on February 16th, 2024.
Led by 大象传媒 Physics Lecturer Dr. Simin Bagheri Najmi in collaboration with the BC Association of Physics Teachers (BCAPT), this event featured talks by Physics faculty members, science demo presentations, and a tour of . Dr. Sarah Johnson gave a talk on "First-year Physics Teaching at 大象传媒" and Dr. Daniel Higginbottom presented "Quantum computing, networking, and the quantum internet".
There were 35 participants this year, including 10 faculty members from China visiting UBC. We received excellent feedback and look forward to hosting another event in the near future.
