Industrial Chemistry CHEM 391 (3)
A survey of industrial chemistry. Topics include the production of raw petrochemical and mineral materials, bulk organic and inorganic chemicals that drive the economy, industrially relevant polymers, and health and hygiene products. Green approaches to industrial chemistry are discussed. Prerequisite: CHEM 230 and 282 (or 283), both with a minimum grade of C-, or permission of the department.
