STT-Critical Information Literacy in the Humanities and Social Sciences HIST 303 (3)

Introduces knowledge and methods necessary to understand and navigate the landscape of information for scholarly research in the humanities and social sciences. Emphasis will be placed on the sociopolitical dimensions of information and knowledge production, and the ways in which systems of power shape everyday information creation, distribution, and access. Prerequisite: 45 units. Students with credit for FASS 303 may not take this course for further credit.
