Topics in the Cultural History of Canada HIST 424 (4)
A study of beliefs, ideas, and attitudes in the lands presently known as Canada. Topics may include, but are not limited to literature; memory and commemoration; nationalism; nature and the environment; relationships between Indigenous peoples and newcomers; sports, recreation, and leisure; and television and film. Content may vary from offering to offering; see course outline for further information. This course may be repeated for credit only when a different topic is taught. Prerequisite: 45 units including nine units of lower division history. Recommended: HIST 101, 102W, 204.
