´óÏó´«Ã½

Congratulations graduands!

Chancellor's message

It is a true privilege to mark this milestone with you, and especially meaningful as we celebrate the 60th anniversary of ´óÏó´«Ã½.

As you leave your ceremony, you may feel some uncertainty about what lies ahead. You are graduating into a world marked by rapid change and complexity. But history reminds us that with change comes opportunity. Each of you is exceptionally well prepared to meet that opportunity.

During your time at ´óÏó´«Ã½, you adapted to new technologies and ways of thinking. You challenged assumptions, embraced diverse perspectives and created space for learning and unlearning. In doing so, you have prepared to live, and lead, in a world where the only constant is change.

Our world faces urgent and complex challenges. Those challenges are also invitations. Invitations to lean into change, to think differently and to help build a more inclusive and sustainable future for all.

Wherever your path leads from here, please know that the ´óÏó´«Ã½ community stands proudly behind you—today and always.

Congratulations, graduates.

President's message

In September 1965, ´óÏó´«Ã½ opened its doors for the first time to a charter class of 2,500 students. A lot has changed since then—but what hasn’t changed is our incredible students and alumni, and the difference they are making in an ever-evolving world.

As we celebrate our 60th anniversary, I am also excited to celebrate each of you. You graduate into a world of uncertainty and opportunity, where technological advances are creating the future in real time. Each of you will play a critical role in helping us decide, as a society, how these technologies are used. It is the work of our lifetime to shape and use these tools in ways that advance an inclusive and sustainable future, and I know that your time at ´óÏó´«Ã½ has given you the skills you need to do so.

On behalf of everyone at ´óÏó´«Ã½, we are so lucky to have known and been inspired by you. Wherever you go from here, please know that all of us at ´óÏó´«Ã½, and our community of 200,000+ alumni around the world, are cheering you on every step of the way.

Thank you for everything, and congratulations.
