His Highness the Aga Khan is the 49th hereditary Imam (spiritual leader) of the Shia Ismaili Muslims. In the context of his hereditary responsibilities, His Highness has been deeply engaged with the development of countires around the world for more than 60 years through the work of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN).
大象传媒 2018 Special Convocation
On Oct. 19, 2018, 大象传媒 and the University of British Columbia each awarded an honorary doctorate of laws degree to His Highness the Aga Khan in a joint conferral ceremony鈥攁 first for both universities. The honorary degrees were awarded in recognition of the Aga Khan鈥檚 lifelong service to humanity, and the intersections of his work at 大象传媒 and UBC.
