Artistic Performances, Productions and Installations

In recent years I have been performing with the Native American Flute at various conference presentations as well as special events. I have also exhibited my visual art at various academic presentations and conferences. Prior to joining the academy, I had numerous art exhibits or installations showing my visual art (i.e. water-colour paintings and sculptures). And prior to this, I choreographed numerous eurythmy performances for my students and also performed with various eurythmy ensembles in Europe and North America. I have listed some of these performances below. 

  • Kelly, V. (April, 2017) Langara College Annual Art Show. Part of the Carving and Reconcilation Panel Presented to Langara College. I carved with other carvers on this collective project and submitted my carving to  be mounted on the panel dedicated to the Residential School Survivors and the Missing and Murdered Women and Girls.   • Kelly, V. (June, 2015) Northern Exposures Show: Freda Diesing School of Northwest Coast Art. The showing and sale of 2 of my 3 masks titled: 1.     Choreographed and directed three separate children鈥檚 performances for the students, teachers and parents. One of which involved performances of each of the grades from 1鈥8.
  • Dubach Eurythmy Ensemble (1991)
    Dornach, Switzerland
    Over a two year period I was involved in a group reviving and performing Dubach鈥檚 鈥淓volution鈥 choreography in England, Ireland, Finland, Germany, and Switzerland. We also performed at an International Kindergarten Teachers Conference as well as an International Special Education Conference held in Switzerland.
  • Eurythmy Ensemble (1990)
    Husemann Clinic: Buchenbach Germany
    Performed with eurythmy colleagues for the psychiatric patients of the clinic a program which included: 鈥淭he Wonders of the Spring鈥 fairy tale, poetry as well as music by Bach, and Beethoven.
  • Eurythmy Ensemble (1989)
    Therapeuticum Bern, Switzerland
    Performed regularly with colleagues of the medical practice at festivals for the patients.
  • Ashdown Eurythmy Ensemble Tour (1988)
    Vidarasen, Norway
    Promoted and hosted their children and adult performances during their extensive international tour.
  • Various Village Festivals (1987)
    Vidarasen, Norway
    Directed, choreographed and performed in a eurythmy ensemble. The program included Norwegian poetry and music.
  • Vidarasen Villager Performing Group (1987)
    Vidarasen, Norway
    Choreographed and directed a large performance of 鈥淭he Seven Stallions鈥 a Norwegian fairy tale for the opening of the Great Hall in Vidarasen. Co鈥搘orkers and handicapped villagers performed for the community and the nearby Trondheim Waldorf School.
  • International Camphill Conference (1986)
    Vidarasen Landsby, Andebu, Norway
    As a member of The Ringwood鈥 Botton Eurythmy Stage Group I performed a program that included: Norse Myths, a Beethoven Trio and Variations as well as poetry by Keats.
  • Ringwood鈥揃otton Stage Group (1985)
    Botton Village, England
    Toured for one month in England, Scotland and Ireland. The program also included: 鈥淭he Pictures From an Exhibition鈥 by Mussorgsky, 鈥淭he Fairy Rowan Tree鈥 from The King of Irelands Son, as well as other poetry and music.
  • A Student Eurythmy Group (1985)
    The Pennine Community, Wakefield, England
    In a Camphill School for mentally and physically challenged adolescents I choreographed and directed performances of 鈥淭he Master Builder鈥 by Eileen Hutchins.
  • Ringwood鈥揃otton Stage Group (1984)
    Botton Village, England
    Toured on weekends offering children performances of music and the fairy tale: 鈥淭he Rowan Tree鈥 from 鈥淭he King of Irelands Son鈥. The adult performances offered a selection of dramatic pieces, poetry and music.
  • Ringwood鈥揃otton Student Stage Group (1983)
    Botton Village, England
    Month long graduation tour performing a fairy tale: The Seven Ravens from 鈥淭he King of Ireland鈥檚 Son鈥 as well as music by Beethoven, Mozart, Handel and Schumann and various poems and dramatic pieces in English, French and German.
  • International Camphill Communities Conference (1982)
    Aberdeen, Scotland
    Performed in a production of: the fairy tale by Goethe: 鈥淭he New Paris鈥, as well as music from 鈥淚phigenia in Aulis鈥 by Gluck.
