MEET OUR GRADUAND SPEAKER
Blake Mahovic graduates with a Master of Education in Educational Leadership: Imaginative Leadership K-12.
His research explored teachers鈥� perspectives on neurodiversity, a subject he approaches personally as someone diagnosed with severe dyslexia among other neurodiversity. Blake is passionate about shifting the narrative around neurodiversity towards a strength-based lens that emphasizes empowerment and understanding. Originally an inclusive education teacher supporting students and colleagues, Blake has since launched independent work focused on helping teachers build empathy and supporting individuals in embracing their diagnoses. During his studies, Blake founded a community-focused business, captained the Canadian Rugby League team and contributed to nonprofit boards advancing opportunities through sport. He hopes to continue bridging education, business and community throughout his career.
