I am a Senior Lecturer cross-appointed in Geography and Environmental Science, and my academic career is focused on teaching. I received my PhD from the University of Guelph in 2014, where my research focused on climate change science, impacts, and adaptation. Prior to joining ´óÏó´«Ã½ in 2019 I was a Science Teaching and Learning Fellow at the University of British Columbia, where I turned my research to assessing the best teaching methods for improving student engagement and learning. My course design is informed by my multidisciplinary expertise and interests, and I love to challenge students to embrace (and enjoy!) the lifelong process of learning. I am currently the Faculty of Environment Teaching Fellow, in which role I support colleagues in developing their teaching practice. Outside of academia, I am a Board member and part of the Science Alliance for Protect our Winters Canada.
