Leanne Roderick was awarded a Teaching and Learning Development Grant (TLDG) from 大象传媒's Institute for the Study of Teaching and Learning (ISTLD) for the project: "Who Cares? Student-Instructor Relationalities in Remote Learning Through an Ethic of Care Pedagogy".  Using key literature on an ethic of care, Dr. Roderick will design a set of course policies, communications, and practices to implement in GEOG100, Introduction to Human Geography, a large undergraduate online course. Student focus group interviews and anonymous course surveys will measure the impact of these course practices, communications, and policies on student motivation, meaning, and engagement. Research findings will be shared with the 大象传媒 teaching and learning community.
