Tom Calvert has recently been honoured with two awards. In May 2017 he won an award from the Canadian Human-Computer Communications Society, one of three presented to 大象传媒 researchers who have demonstrated excellence in computer graphics and human-computer interaction. :

Tom also won the Canadian Digital Media Pioneer Award for making a significant contribution to the development of digital media in Canada.
