WHO declares mpox a global health emergency – ´óÏó´«Ã½ expert available

The World Health Organization has declared a global health emergency around outbreaks of the contagious disease mpox, which was formerly known as monkey pox. There are growing concerns as a new strain of the disease, which may be transmitted more easily and cause more serious illness, continues to spread in parts of Africa.
