The CAL offers a variety of adaptive technologies and equipment for students, including:
- Speech recognition software (i.e., Dragon Naturally Speaking)
- Screen reading software (i.e., JAWS for Windows, Zoom Text)
- Screen magnification software (Zoom Text)
- FM transmitter/receiver system
- Audio recording devices
- Text to voice assistive technology (i.e. Kurzweil, Read and Write)
- Braille printer
- CCTV (closed circuit television for text enlargement)
- Large-print dictionary and thesaurus

Assistive Technology BC
Students may also be eligible for a Canada Study Grant for the purchase of adaptive technology through . Assistive Technology BC supports technology assessment, consultation, the provision of assistive technology, training on the use of the technology, repair and trouble shooting, support and tip sheets.
