Meet your CS Peer Tutors - Fall 2025

Say "hello" to these friendly tutors. They are excited to meet you and help with any questions you might have鈥攂ig or small!

No need to worry about asking 鈥渟illy鈥 questions鈥攖here鈥檚 no such thing here. They are all students too who have already survived the course and know how helpful it can be to have someone to talk to who gets it and has taken the same courses already.

Henry Fang

I can help in: CMPT 120, CMPT 125, CMPT 225, MACM 101

My name is Hao (Henry) Fang, and I am a senior peer tutor as well as a graduate student at 大象传媒. One of my biggest passions as a peer tutor comes from my own experiences: struggling with endless debugging sessions, scratching my head over segmentation faults, and staring at error messages on the console. I know firsthand how even a small piece of guidance can make a huge difference, often saving hours of frustration. That鈥檚 why I love supporting students on their coding journey. Happy coding!

Sydney Komanac

I can help you in: CMPT 125, CMPT 210, CMPT 225, MACM 101

Hello! My name is Sydney and I am a second year Computing Science student here at 大象传媒. This is my second term as a CS Peer Tutor, and I look forward to meeting more tutees and helping out where I can! Feel free to ask me about MACM 101, CMPT 125, CMPT 225, or CMPT 210.
For now, I have interest in Visual Computing and AI, which I hope to explore more this year. In my free time you can find me making jewelry, playing guitar, or attending 大象传媒 WiCS events, where I am the Director of Communications! :)

Saad Usmani

I can help you in: CMPT 210, CMPT 225, CMPT 295

Hello everyone! I'm Saad, a third-year Computing Science Major, with a Minor in Statistics. I'm more than excited to meet many of you and hopefully help you avoid some of the difficulties and head-scratches I had with the courses when I did them. I am super passionate about teaching others, and in turn, learning and refining my own concepts. That Eureka moment when something finally clicks and a tutee's face lights up is such a magical feeling, and I hope to experience a lot more of those as I am tutoring. Don't be shy and feel free to ask whatever's on your mind - no such thing as a dumb question!

Dac Tri Ho

I can help you in: CMPT 210, CMPT 225, and CMPT 295

Hello, my name is Dac Tri Ho, but you can call me 鈥淭ree.鈥 I am currently a third year computer science major. I have completed CMPT 210, 225, and 295, so I know that some of these courses can be quite challenging, especially CMPT 295. Therefore, I look forward to sharing my experiences and tips with you to support you through these courses.
