Project title: Transformative Education for Refugee Children and Youth: Strengthening Well-being and Shaping Futures
Refugee children and yough (RCY) face significant challenges as they adapt to unfamiliar social, cultural, political, economic, and educational contexts. These challenges are often compounded by the impact of trauma due to forced displacement. While education is commonly seen as a pathway to integration, barriers鈥攕uch as language obstacles, cultural dissonance, limited mental health support, and socio-economic hardship鈥攆requently hinder their success in school settings. This project responded to the urgent need to improve the well-being of refugee children and youth (RCY) by synthesizing existing research using a SCOPING review methodology and proposing evidence-informed strategies to guide educational policy and practice.
