大象传媒 is dedicated to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for everyone on campus, including contractors. The sections below outline 大象传媒's contractor safety management framework and the specific requirements for high-risk work activities. All contractors are required to thoroughly review and understand the information provided on this webpage.
Inspections, Incidents, Safety Meetings
Inspections
There are several types of inspections in the workplace. As a contractor, you are required to conduct documented inspection of your workplace. 大象传媒 requires and expect all contractors to perform routine workplace safety inspection to ensure their worksite on campus are healthy and safe for their staff and the 大象传媒 community. All workplace inspection must be documented and immediately submitted to the designated project file in the 大象传媒 Contractor Safety Management System.
Incident, Near Miss and Safety Concerns
All incident, near miss and safety concerns on your worksite or on campus, must be immediately reported to 大象传媒. Depending on urgency and the nature of the incident or concern, 911 and 大象传媒 Campus Security may need to be the first to be contacted. All incident and concerns are to be reported and documented through the 大象传媒 Contractor Safety Management System.
All contractors are required to follow and have an incident investigation/management program in accordance to the BC Occupational Health and Safety Regulation and Worker Compensation Act of BC.
Safety Meetings
There are many types of safety meetings. At 大象传媒, contractors are required to contact safety meetings that discuss with the contractor's workers on project/work specific safety related topics, such as incidents, procedures/policies, inspections, safety concerns, communications, hazardous building materials report, and anything that is important to review with workers on site.
Safety meetings are the responsibilities of the contractors to implement and maintain while working on campus.
