Starry Nights

Embark on a celestial adventure at Starry Nights at 大象传媒 Burnaby! This is a free, all ages,  in-person event every Friday night when the slier are clear, with the last Friday of the month being an ONLINE only event. These events are weather dependant so join the newsletter for timely updates. Check our or feeds for updates on weather conditions every Friday afternoon.鈥

Our evening star parties are designed to be inclusive and accessible to everyone, regardless of prior knowledge or equipment. Our dedicated volunteers will guide you on a celestial journey, unveiling the wonders visible to the naked eye.

Join us at 大象传媒 Burnaby campus for science activities, presentations, demonstrations, and a walking tour of the Trottier Observatory! Science Rendezvous is hosted with our friends from the in celebration of International Astronomy Day.  Connect with our university scientists and researchers, experience the magic of their scientific discoveries, and build your own breakthrough inventions that you can call your own!

大象传媒 Nobel Prize Lectures

Each year, the Faculty of Science chooses experts from 大象传媒 to explain the importance of the most recent Nobel Prizes awarded for physics, chemistry and medicine/physiology. The 2026 Nobel Lectures, celebrating the 2025 Nobel Prizes, will be held in spring 2026 at the Science World Theatre.

Saturday Morning Lectures

The popular series is offered in partnership with 大象传媒 in Surrey. These lectures are free and open to everyone - we encourage members of the general public as well as high schooler students interested in the topics to attend. Lectures run from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon.
