Biography
is an independent artist, filmmaker, and researcher whose practice investigates the relationship between culture and nature by means of analogue and organic process, experiment, and co-creation. His work has been shown worldwide at festivals, in cinemas, on stage, and in galleries. He was a founder member of Studio 茅茅n, a pioneering DiY film laboratory. He has invented 鈥減hytography,鈥 a technique that combines plants and photochemical emulsion.

Join visiting artist Karel Doing, inventor of the phytogram process, for an afternoon of image propagation at .
Phytography is a technique that leaves detailed chemical traces of plants directly on photographic emulsion. Hands-on practice with 16mm film film will be accompanied by discussion of the historical lineage of phytograms, experimental image making practice and ecological mindfulness. Participants will gather plants, create their own images and see the results in projection.
